HOW DO I BEGIN?
Patients join by paying a yearly fee that may be paid annually, quarterly or monthly. This fee covers all costs to become a member. Membership offers the patients all the benefits of Direct Personal Care.
Our Fee Structure is as follows:
Patients Aged 18 years through 44 years $50.00 monthly $600 per year
Patients Aged 45 years through 64 years $75.00 monthly $900 per year
Patients Aged 65 years through 100+ $100.00 monthly $1,200 per year
This fee can be set up to automatically withdraw from your bank account on a pre-determined schedule. Easy and simple. As you can clearly see, this fee is much much less than a yearly deductible and even more of a savings when you add the co pays you would have normally have been charged per visit.
Call our office manager, Christina Bean at 801-408-4296 to sign up or for additional questions. Mon - Thurs 8:00 A.M - 1:00 P.M.
***FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS***
1. What do you mean you dont't take insurance?
It is a common response. Even though we do not take insurance, you should still keep your insurance for emergencies, specialists, prescriptions, hospitalizations and other major medical testing. We are not involved with any disputes or cumbersome paperwork. This is the cost savings we are able to pass on.
2. Is Direct Personal Care a replacement for health insurance?
No. We encourage all patients to maintain health insurance for major medical events and testing. DPC is for day to day care that is more affordable
and accessible for all patients. We do not call our car insurance if we need to change our tires but we do if we have a fender bender.
3. May I use my Health Savings Account for these payments?
Yes. Be certain to verify with your accountant or plan.
4. If I have good insurance, how is paying a membership fee going to save me money
Familiarize yourself with what you have been paying for health care. How much is taken out of your paycheck? How much is your monthly
premium? What is your copay for an office visit? How high is your deductible? How much did you spend in total for health care last year?
The research has been done. About 75% of individuals will save money in Direct Personal Care. They will know those costs up front and have
no more surprise bills from insurance. No more thinking twice about seeing the doctor for a health issues based on what it may cost you.
5. Is this concierge medicine?
No. Concierge medicine charges additional fees and collects payments from your insurance company. You would still have to meet your yearly
deductible and pay copays.
6. How do I make appointments?
The same way you always have, just call our office and sign up. 801-408-4296 Mon - Thurs 8:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
7. How do I pay for Direct Personal Care?
DPC may be paid monthly, quarterly, biannually or annually and by automatic withdrawal from your account.
8. Will Direct Personal Care save me on my healthcare costs?
Yes. Our fee is much less than most deductibles and we collect no copays. We offer many services as part of your DPC care at no
additional charge. We also give you access to discounted labs and medications and try to find the best options at lower costs for
other tests such as overnight oximetry.
9. Do I have to be healthy or have health insurance to become a patient?
No, anyone can become a Direct Personal Care patient.
10. I do not go to the doctor very often. Do you have a "Healthy Person" plan?
Limiting the number of times you can come in puts limits on your care. The goal is for patients to enjoy the physician/patient relationship
as often as needed for collaboration of care. You are not worried about unforeseen costs coming back to haunt you later. For this reason we
do not offer a limited plan.
11. When can I join?
We are accepting patients now. Once you are a member, you can start taking advantage of the services immediately. Be warned that in order to
maintain a small, personalized practice we are significantly limiting the number of patients that can be enrolled. These slots will fill quickly. When
the practice is full we will maintain a waiting list to replace patients who move away.
12. If I become seriously ill, will my monthly fee increase?
No.
